Since 1990, the Society has slowly undergone a regionalisation programme throughout the UK, aimed at encouraging the involvement of members generally. We have not lost any of our traditional values but rather we have aimed at making them relevant throughout the whole country. At the same time we hope we have maintained relevance for members outside the UK.

The Scottish Group have, since 2000, been developing a display garden in the walled garden at Carnell House, Kilmarnock and they are looking for another venue where they can display delphiniums growing with companion plants in a herbaceous border setting. The purpose of the planting at Carnell is the eventual establishment of a National Collection for Scotland. There the aim is to grow cultivars to perfection with the objective being the National Collection.

Mr Mc Master and his committee have organised exhibits at the Ayr Flower Show and at Dundee Flower & Food Festival, and the West of Scotland Delphinium Championship, staged at the Ayr Flower Show, is an essential component of this work. The Championship is, however, heavily seasonally dependent.

Mr McMaster is always keen to visit local horticultural societies and gives talks about delphiniums and how they should be grown.

The Group is an active part of the Society as a whole and we invite delphinium growers generally to give support by joining the Society.
