book The Delphinium Society was founded in 1928 as the 'British Delphinium Society'. The Wisley Trials commenced c.1934 under the supervision of the Joint Delphinium Committee consisting of representatives from the Royal Horticultural Society and the then British Delphiniium Society. In 1928 the Society commenced its work with a resoundingly spectacular show at Vincent Square in which trade exhibits predominated. The then amateur contribution to the show was small but nowadays in 2010 our shows are supported by our individual members.

Our financial year ends on 31st August and membership in the Uk is £6 per annum and overseas it is £8. For membership applications go to "members".
