Speakers' List
For the information of local horticultural societies which organise lecture/talks programmes
For East Anglia
The following list is being prepared as a service to organisers of horticultural talks programmes in East Anglia. The references given on this list are those of people who are prepared to give talks about delphiniums.
The nature of a talk and any other aspects of the presentation are not the responsibility of The Delphinium Society. It is for the local horticultural society organiser to discuss the particular features of delphinium growing which their membership find of interest. This will help the speaker to focus a talk on a specific subject area, if it is required. Mostly, we find that local societies require a general overview of the subject of delphinium growing.
The organiser must clarify all aspects of the arrangements with the speaker. For example,
- will the speaker be using only live material, in which case a difficult season would lead to non-availability of material for the talk and hence cancellation?
- will the speaker require a screen?
- will the speaker use slides?
- will s/he use computer laptop techniques?
- will the speaker bring their own projector and/or computer equipment?
- what is the distance which the speaker is prepared to travel?
- what fees will the speaker require?
- etc, etc.
Anyone wishing to be added to the list should e-mail to roger.beauchamp (at) btinternet.com. Currently, the list is short and we would welcome bona fide additional speakers.
